Cookies Policy
The cookies we set, what each one is doing, and how to switch them off if you'd rather we didn't.
Quick version: this page lays out which cookies Honey Bee IPTV places on your device when you stop by honeyebeeiptv.online, why we place them, and how to clear them out. For the wider picture on how we treat your data, our Privacy Policy handles that.
1. What's a Cookie, in Plain English?
A cookie is just a small text file. When you load a page, your browser stashes it on your phone, laptop, or tablet. Next time you swing by, the site can read it and remember your settings — language preference, login state, that toggle you flipped from monthly to yearly pricing. Without cookies, the web would forget you every few seconds.
There are two kinds. "Session" cookies disappear the moment you close your browser. "Persistent" cookies stick around for days, months, or until you delete them yourself.
2. Why We Set Them
We don't drop cookies for the heck of it. Each one earns its keep:
- Keep the basic site running — the pricing toggle, the trial form, the mobile menu.
- Remember whether you said yes or no to non-essential cookies.
- Show us, in totals only, which pages people actually read so we stop polishing the ones nobody visits.
- If you opt in, show you promos that are actually relevant rather than generic. That last one only fires after you click accept.
3. The Cookies We Actually Set
Essential Cookies
These run the site. Without them, basic things break — the trial form won't submit, the menu won't open, the pricing toggle freezes solid. There's no opt-out for these because the site simply won't work. We're not tracking you with them; they're plumbing.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
cookie_consent |
Stores your cookie consent choice | 1 year (localStorage) |
Analytics Cookies
We run Google Analytics. It tells us things like "the FAQ page got 3,000 views this week" — never "Sarah from Manchester read the FAQ for 47 seconds." The data is anonymised and grouped together. We can't trace it back to you personally.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics — distinguishes users | 2 years |
_ga_* |
Google Analytics — session state | 2 years |
These don't fire until after you've clicked "accept" on the consent banner. If you decline, they never load.
Third-Party Cookies
If you click out to PayPal or Stripe to pay, those sites set their own cookies once you land on their domain. That's between you and them — we don't see those cookies and can't control them. Their privacy policies are worth a quick read if you're curious.
4. Your Choices
The first time you load the site, a banner pops up asking what you're cool with. You can flip your answer any time using the controls below — no need to email anyone or jump through hoops.
Reset Your Consent
Hit the button. We'll wipe your stored preference and the banner will pop back up on your next page load. Quick and clean.
Browser Settings
Want full control? Every browser lets you block, delete, or get prompted on incoming cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Heads up: blocking everything will break parts of the site. The trial form and the pricing toggle need their essential cookies to work.
Opt Out of Google Analytics Everywhere
If you'd rather Google stop tracking you across every site, not just ours, grab the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Install it once and you're set forever.
5. When This Policy Changes
We'll update this page if our cookie setup shifts or the rules around cookies tighten up. The "Last updated" stamp at the top moves whenever we make a real change. Worth a glance every now and then.
